I love the analogy. The sheep are the Rolling Stones and the farmer's the Sex Pistols, right?

Firstly it made me laugh... which incidentally is something I'm willing to pay for! actually the music business makes me laugh which could be its future purpose. But seriously ( God that's a dull transition )the key to this is not that music is inter-changable or replicable its that the mystery behind its creation has evaporated, the future will be less about how its done , noone will care , they will simply want one ...does that makes sense> I probably should have concentrated slightly more but I was downloading the new Florence and the machine album

What an idiotic analogy.

Sound recordings still have a great deal of value. By definition, good music is always scare. One record is not substitutional for another.

So giving sound recordings away for free ensures that Verizon, Google realise that intrinsic value, not the creators.

It's the old freetard plea to save their businesses with free content. Only in woolly clothing.
