Hummn. Not a fan of the new site. The "big and bold" look means that sections such as "comedy and quizzes" has been curtailed on the opening screen to "comedy", and "Religion and Ethics" to "Religion". If you knew the old site, you can understand the new one... but if you are fresh to it, it is hard to find content. I'm a Chief Technology Officer, and I find it hard to navigate and frustrating.
Several weeks after the new site launched, I am glad that "Something Understood" has finally been removed from the Science section. Presumably the editor hired from the Kansas Board of Education has been put on light duties. Not sure why "Hacked to Pieces", a programme on cyber crime, is listed as "Nature and Environment".
Getting past the common "complain about anything new reaction", the site is a bit of a bloody mess in my opinion. People really appreciate Radio 4, and introducing "simplified" site that doesn't do much to promote accessibility to the great content, well, no wonder people are upset.

The new website functions about one time in four. Most attempts to listen to programmes result in a message that says
'This content doesn't seem to be working. Try again later.'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/programmes/a-z/player
is brilliant - a list of all programs on one page, easy to browse, easy to search.

My biggest problem with the iplayer is it paginates lists of programs. This makes them difficult to browse. There is no reason to paginate a list of 50 items into pages of 12, the web is not paper. Pagination frustrates both people and machines.
