New York Week, part four. A couple of paragraphs from a book that is, by any measure, a treat more for the eyes than for the ears. It’s a gorgeous, careful – not to say forensic – examination of the troubled history of the adoption of the world’s most famous typeface on the world’s most famous mass transit system.
